"Ain't No Bugs on Me" was recorded by Fiddlin' John Carson and Moonshine Kate on Bluebird Records sometime in the 1920's. It probably has minstrel show roots. Over the years, it has morphed into a kid's camp song and also shows up as the tune of "Ain't Gonna Rain No More". The words here are Fiddlin' John's version which includes some Southern topics of his time. It was also recorded by the New Lost City Ramblers on their Gone To The Country album.
I learned it from the New Lost City Ramblers record and songbook although my version sounds more like "Ain't Gonna Rain No More" which I learned at a young age.
