"The Cup of Tea" also known as "The Lady's Cup of Tea" or "The Merry Harriers" is a
Scottish reel in A mixolydian. The A part seems to be in A mixolydian but the B part
wavers between A mixolydian and D major and comes to rest on D. The parts are played
ABB (Cole) or AA'BB' (Kerr). I have rewritten the A part with a repeat to make it more
compact.
It was printed in Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940), Kerr's Merry Melodies vol. 2 and
Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883).
I learned it from Cole.
