"Mount and Go", also known as "Hey Bonnie Laddie, Mount and Go", "My Parents Hae Married Me Owre Young", "The lady looked over the Castle Wall" or "Lady Beltrees", is a Scottish ballad.
It was collected by Gavin Greig from Mrs. Grieve of Aberdeenshire.
It was first printed in Andrew Crawfurd's Collection of Ballads and Songs (1827).
It is in the Roud Folk Song Index as #3840.
The tune is similar to "Johnny Cope" in this section. It is also somewhat similar to "Paddy Works on the Railway" but with different rhythms.
It was recorded by Simon Mayor on Celtic Mandolin which is where I learned it.
