"Do Lord" is a Negro spiritual. As usual, the source of both lyrics and melody are unknown. We all learned this early on in Sunday school. The chorus is nearly identical to the chorus of "When My Blood Runs Chilly and Cold". There are also similarities in the verses. This is a more upbeat version. "Do Lord" has been printed in 27 hymnals of various denominations. It has been a Sunday school / Bible school / camp favorite for many years.
