"Another Jig Will Do", in Gaelic "Deanfaid Port Eile" also known as "Any Old Jig Will Do",
"He Didn't Dance All Day", "I Whistled and Called Her Back", "That's the Time o' Day" or
"Whiskey and Beer" is an Irish slip jig in D Major. The parts are played AAB (Brody) or
AABB (O'Neill).
This is a common slip jig at modern sessions, popularized by the Boys of the Lough
in the 1970's.
Slip jigs tend to sound similar, lending to confusion and title drift between tunes;
"Another Jig will do" has also been called "Riding a Mile" the title of another slip jig.
It was printed in Boys of the Lough (1977),
Brody's Fiddler's Fakebook (1983),
Krassen's O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1976),
O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and
Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907) and
Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883).
It was recorded by Boys of the Lough on Boys of the Lough (1973) and
Second Album (1974).
