"The Flowers of Limerick", in Gaelic "Blata Luimnig" is part of a large
and varied tune family whose members go by numerous titles with settings
in various modes, from major (ionian) to dorian as well as mixed modes.
Related tunes include "The Bunch of Keys", "The Ewe (or Ewie) with the Crooked Horn" and
"Paddy On the Turnpike".
The tune is also known as "The Boys of the Spuds", "Bunch of Kemp", "Jackson's Last Reel",
"Lady Elmer’s Reel", "Cairngorm Brooch", "Cronin's Favorite", "Dancer's Reel",
"The Last House in Connaught", "The Mills are Grinding", "The Old Reel", "Old Town Reel" or
"Telephone Reel". It is an Irish reel in G Major (O'Neill) or G Dorian/Major (Allan).
The parts are played ABCD (O'Neill) or AABB (Allan).
It was printed in Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940),
Giblin's Collection of Traditional Irish Dance Music (1928),
McDermott's Allan's Irish Fiddler (c. 1920's),
