The slip jig appears as an untitled "Irish Jigg" in flute player John Clinton's Gems of Ireland: 200 Airs (1841). The Irish-born Clinton was a chief musician and instructor at the Royal Academy, London. It was printed in Clinton's Gems of Ireland: 200 Airs (1841) (as "Irish Jigg"), Krassen's O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1976), R.M. Levey's First Collection of the Dance Music of Ireland (1858) (appears as an untitled slip jig) and O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903).
