"The Hunter's House", in Gaelic "Teach An TSealgaire", also known as "Ed Reavey’s" (in various spellings), "The Hunter’s Hut", "Hunters’ House", "McGinely’s", "Reavey’s (again in various spellings) is an Irish reel in G major.
It was composed by Ed Reavy (1897–1988), an Irish-American musician and composer of numerous traditional Irish dance tunes. He was born in the townland of Barnagrove (or Barr na gCnó), Knappagh, County Cavan. He emigrated to Philadelphia in 1912 where he settled in the Irish-American enclave of Corktown (now part of Powelton Village). Except for two visits back to Ireland, he remained in the Philadelphia area for the rest of his life.
