The parts are played AABB.<br> The tune is a version of John McKenna's "The Maids of Galway".<br> It is more distantly related to the "Ballina Lass" tune family.<br> It was printed in Brody's Fiddler's Fakebook (1983),<br> Kennedy's Fiddler's Tune Book, vol. 2 (1954) and<br> Raven's English Country Dance Tunes (1984).<br> It was recorded by Dudley Laufman on Swinging on a Gate (1974).<br>
