"Katie's Fancy" (in Gaelic Roga Caitilin), also known as "The Humors of Cork" is an<br> Irish double jig in 6/8 time and G Major. The parts are played AABBCC.<br> It is similar to "The Boys of Tralee" although that tune does not have a C part.<br> Captain Francis O'Neill acquired this tune from Mr. Gillan, originally from County<br> Longford but living in Chicago. Mr. Gillan acquired the tune from Mr. Peter Kennedy<br> in County Leitrim. O'Neill made sure the tune was distributed to the Chicago Irish<br> musical community, where it became quite popular.<br> O'Neill printed a version of the tune in his Waifs and Strays of Gaelic Melody (1923)<br> under the title "The Humors of Cork".<br> It was also printed in<br> Banalari's Celtic Encyclopedia (1999),<br> O'Neill's O'Neill's Irish Music (1915),<br> O'Neill (Krassen) (1976),<br> O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and<br> O'Neill's Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907).<br>
