"The Kerry Reel", in Gaelic "Rogha Chiarraí" or "Pairceanna Glasa Ros Beithe", also known as "The Kerryman", "Green Banks of Rossbeigh", "The Green Fields of Rossbeigh", "Tom Clark's Fancy", "The Witch of the Glen" is an Irish reel in E Dorian. The parts are played AABB. The melody was recorded in 1926 by Kerry fiddler Michael Hanafin under the title "The Green Fields of Rossbeigh". In 1959 another Kerry fiddler, Denis Murphy (1910–1974) recorded it in Dublin as the first tune in a medley including "The Steampacket" and "Colonel Frazer". County Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman recorded it as "The Kerry Reel" in New York in the 1920's, paired with "The Perthshire Hunt". It was printed in Brody's Fiddler's Fakebook (1983), Cranford's Jerry Holland: The Second Collection (2000), Flaherty's Trip to Sligo (1990), Miller & Perron's Irish Tradtional Fiddle Music (1977), Miller & Perron's Irish Traditional Fiddle Music, 2nd Edition (2006), Mulvihill's 1st Collection (1986) and Phillips' Fiddle Case Tunebook: British Isles (1989). It was recorded by Jack Wade on Ceili Music from Ireland, Michael Coleman on The Musical Glory of Old Sligo (1967) and The Legacy of Michael Coleman, Denis Murphy on From Galway to Dublin (1992) and Michael J. Cashin and Tom Doyle on The Wheels of the World.
