"The Mooncoin Jig", also known as "Port Móin Choinn", "Port Muin-Cuine" or<br> "Port Muine Coinin" is an Irish double jig in A Mixolydian in three parts.<br> Mooncoin or Mooncoyne, is a town in County Kilkenny in the southeast of<br> Ireland, an area famous in the 19th century and the early 20th century<br> for its pipers. <br> It was printed in O'Neill's Irish Music (1915), O'Neill's Music of<br> Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and O'Neill's Dance Music of Ireland: 1001<br> Gems (1907).<br> This jig was recorded by Steeleye Span on the album Now We Are Six.<br>
