"The Mourne Shore", in Gaelic "An Traig Mugdorna" is an Irish air in 4/4 time and F major.
The parts are played AB.
It is related to "Down by the Sally Gardens" and some versions of "The Maids of Mourne Shore".
To further confuse the issue, there are some variations of this tune with the same title.
The source for this version was Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill, a fiddler originally from
County Down and Francis O'Neill's collaborator.
It was printed in O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903).
