"The Mourne Shore", in Gaelic "An Traig Mugdorna" is an Irish air in 4/4 time and F major.<br> The parts are played AB.<br> It is related to "Down by the Sally Gardens" and some versions of "The Maids of Mourne Shore".<br> To further confuse the issue, there are some variations of this tune with the same title.<br> The source for this version was Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill, a fiddler originally from<br> County Down and Francis O'Neill's collaborator.<br> It was printed in O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903).<br>
