"The Mummer's Jig", also known as "Miss Chaloner's Fancy" is an Irish jig in G Major. The parts are played AABB. The tune was published in 1801 as "Miss Chaloner’s Fancy". It appears in Darley & McCall’s Feis Ceoil Collection of Traditional Irish Music (1914, reprinted as the Darley & McCall Collection of Traditional Irish Music) as the jig part of the piece "The Mummer’s Jig and Reel". The mummer, in the Britain and Ireland, is a performer in an amateur acting company, traditionally all male, who perform stylized plays in costume at Boxing Day and other holidays. It was printed in Bancalari's Celtic Encyclopedia, Mandolin Edition (1999).
