"Munster Grass" is an Irish hornpipe in G Major. The parts are played AABB.
It was composed by fiddler and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988) of County Cavan/Philadelphia. The title comes from a line by Yeats: "Full of Munster grass and Connemara skies".
It was printed in Bain's 50 Fiddle Solos (1989) and Reavy's The Collected Compositions of Ed Reavy No. 98.
It was recorded by Mick Moloney on Strings Attached (1980) and Patty Furlong on Traditional Irish Music on Button Accordion (1999).
