The tune, note the Chieftains, is recently played more often as a jig, but is said to have been the march of the Kerry based O'Sullivan Clan. It was printed in the Roche Collection (1982), O’Neill's Waifs and Strays of Gaelic Melody (1922), Tubridy's Irish Traditional Music, vol. 1 (1999) and Walsh's Session Tunes, vol. 2. It was recorded by The Chieftains and others. |
