Staten Island, New York, fiddler Paddy Reynolds says that he had not composed the tune, only arranged it and added a third part. Paddy Reynolds was originally from Ballinamuck, County Longford and immigrated to New York in 1948. It was printed in Black's Music’s the Very Best Thing (1996). It was recorded by Mick Moloney on Strings Attached (1980) and Brian Conway & Tony De Marco on The Apple in Winter (1981). |
