"The Pride of Moyvane" is an Irish reel in D Dorian. The parts are played AABB (Black)<br> or AABB' (Alewine).<br> Moyvane, north County Kerry near the border with Limerick, was the near the<br> home town of fiddler Martin Mulvihill (1919-1987) in Ballygoughlin, County Limerick.<br> Mulvihill was the composer (c. 1971) of the tune.<br> It was printed in Alewine's Maid That Cut Off the Chicken’s Lips (1987) and<br> Black's Music’s the Very Best Thing (1996).<br> It was recorded by Martin Mulvihill on Traditional Irish Fiddling from County<br> Limerick (1978),<br> Mick Maloney and Eugene O'Donnell on Mick Moloney with Eugene O'Donnell (1978) and<br> Eileen Ivers on Traditional Irish Music (1994).<br>
