"The Roscommon Reel" (in Gaelic Ríl Roscomain) also known as "Crowley's Reel" or "Master
Crowley's" is an Irish reel in E Minor (Breathnach) or E Dorian (Cranitch).
The parts are played ABC. The tune is sometimes heard in a medley called "Miss Patterson's
Slipper" paired with the reel “Miss Patterson", which has led to some name confusion
between the titles of the tunes.
It was printed in Breathnach's CRÉ I (1963), Cranitch's Irish Fiddle Book (1996), Harker's
300 Tunes from Mike Rafferty (2005) and Taylor's Music for the Sets: Blue Book (1995).
It was recorded by Kris Drever on Honk Toot Suite (2006), Martin O'Connor on Across the
Waters (as "Master Crowley's").
