"Silver Spear", in Gaelic "Sliabh Bana", also known as "Anderson’s Reel", "Lark in the Morning", "Miss Lane's Fancy", "My Love is on the Ocean", "The New Mown Meadows", "Old Silver Spear”, "The Silver Tip", "The Top of the Cliff" or "The White Mountain" is an Irish reel in D Major. The parts are played AABB.
This is not the same tune as the one usually known as "Lark in the Morning".
It is a popular session tune and part of the core session repertoire. Brendan Breathnach’s translation of the title into Irish suggests the title refers to a mountain. Piper Willie Clancy played the tune under the title “White Mountain”.
