"Sweeney's Dream", also known as "The Girl with the Laughing Eyes", "The Lame Fisherman", "Paddy Killoran's" is an Irish reel in D Major. The parts are played AAB (Breathnach, Vallely) or AABB (Treoir). The title refers to the renowned south County Sligo fiddler Paddy Sweeney (1894-1974), with whom Ballymote (also south Sligo) fiddler Paddy Killoran (1905-1965) recorded the tune as a duet in the 1930's in New York City. It was printed in Breathnach's CRÉ III (1985) (appears as “Gan ainm/No title”), Treoir, vol. 35, No. 1 (2003) and Vallely's Armagh Pipers Club Play 50 Reels (1982). It was recorded by Paddy Sweeney & Paddy Killoran on From Ballymote to Brooklyn (1937), Kevin Burke on Fiddle Tunes from County Sligo, Ireland (1973), The Chieftains on 9 (1979), Tommy Peoples on The Iron Man (1982) and Noel Hill & Tony Linnane on Noel Hill & Tony Linnane (1979).
