"Young Arthur Daly", in Gaelic "Art óg ua dalaig" is an Irish reel in A Major.<br> The parts are played AAB.<br> "Young Arthur Daly" would appear to be a borrowing by O'Neill of a reel that<br> goes by several titles in Boston publisher Elias Howe's publications; "Peggy<br> Whiffle's", "Evansville Reel" or "Clem Titus Jig". It may ultimately be sourced<br> to a minstrel-era performer named Clem Titus, who contributed a few tunes to<br> Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). It is very similar to "Rat Catcher’s Reel" and <br> the nearly identical "Wide Awake Reel" (also printed in Cole's).<br> It was printed in O'Neill (Krassen) (1976),<br> O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and<br> O'Neill's Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907).<br>
