Inisheer is the smallest and most eastern of the three Aran Islands (Inishmohr, Inishmaan and Inisheer) in Galway Bay, Ireland. In Gaelic: Inis Oírr, the island's official name: Inis Oirthir, (east island), traditionally Inis Thiar (rear island). The tune is by Thomas Walsh, an accordionist from Dublin.
