"Waltzing with the One I Love" is an old time waltz in D Major. The parts are played AB.
It was composed by and collected from Mrs. Sarah Armstrong, (near) Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, November 18, 1943 by Samuel Bayard who called it "as good a waltz as any played by country musicians". Bayard groups it with "Dream Song" and "Laney Tunin' His Fiddle". All three tunes were composed by Sarah Armstrong. Bayard says that these tunes "demonstrate that the making of melodies is not yet quite dead in Pennsylvania".
It was printed in Bayard's Hill Country Tunes (1944).
