"The Golden Vanity", also known as "The Golden Willow Tree", "The Turkish Revelry" or "The Sweet Trinity" is Child Ballad #286.
An early version of this ballad appears circa 1635 as "Sir Walter Raleigh Sailing In The Lowlands". This ballad is known in many versions with numerous tunes. It was printed in The Roxburghe Ballads. More recently it was printed in The Burl Ives Songbook and many other collections.
