"Big Liza Jane" is an old-time breakdown in A mixolydian. The parts are played AA'BB'. It was collected from Franklin George (1928-2017) of West Virginia. Alan Jabbour stated that Franklin was “one of the most influential musicians of the last half century in Appalachian music”. It was printed in Songer's Portland Collection (1997).
