It was collected from Sarah Armstrong in Derry PA on November 5th, 1943 by Samuel Bayard. Bayard's comment: "Tunes constructed like this one, with the second part consisting almost entirely of the first part repeated an octave higher, are not often encountered in the repertories of country fiddlers."It was printed in Bayard's Hill Country Tunes (1944). |
