"Cauliflower" is an American reel in cut time and G Major. The parts are played ABCC (Wheeler's recording) or AABBCC. The tune seems unique to the repertoire of Portsmouth, Ohio, fiddler Jimmy Wheeler (1917-1987). Jimmy worked as a stringed-instrument repairman and as a musician, performing fiddle for dances and guitar and bass for more popular music at local clubs. He also played guitar with Forrest Pick on fiddle for many years as "the Personality Boys" on radio station WPAY in Portsmouth. It was recorded by Jimmy Wheeler on Field Recorders Collective FRC 401 Jimmy Wheeler (2004) and Roger Cooper on Going Back to Old Kentucky (1996).
