I found it on the website tune list of<br> San Diego Contra Dance.<br> Some sites link it to an Illinois fiddler named Mel Durham who came from a musical<br> family who had a family band called the Wayne County Apple Knockers in the 1930's.<br> There is a youtube video of Mel Durham playing this tune.<br> The first phrase reminds me of the children's nursery song "Go In and Out the Windows".<br> I tracked it down on http://www.folktunefinder.com/.<br>
