"Coming Up the Pike", also known as "Coming Up the Turnpike" is an American reel in<br> C Major. The parts are played AABB. It was known in Arkansas and Missouri.<br> The tune was recorded for the Library of Congress in the early 1940's by<br> musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph from Ozarks Mountains fiddlers, among them<br> William Bilyeu (1943) and Delbert McGrath (1942).<br> The A part resembles "Fort Smith" while other similarities can be found with<br> "Old Buzzard" and "Nubbin Ridge". The B part is crooked with 10 measures.<br> It was printed by Beisswenger & McCann's Ozark Fiddle Music (2008).<br> It was recorded by Art Galbraith on Dixie Blossoms (1981).<br>
