"Country Waltz", also known as "Old Country Waltz"<br> is a traditional waltz in D Major. It is well known in Canada, particularly in<br> Prince Edward Island and in some parts of the midwest US. The parts are played AA'BB'.<br> It was collected from Alvin Bernard (b. 1929, Long River, Prince Edward Island).<br> It was printed in Don Messer's Favorite Melodies (1950),<br> Brody's Fiddler's Fakebook (1983) and<br> Perlman's The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island (1996).<br> I learned this from our Monday night jam list but got the banjo tab from Ken Perlman<br> at a Midwest Banjo Camp.<br> It was recorded by Don Messer & His Islanders on Down East Dancin' with Don Messer<br> and his Islanders Vol. 1 (1953) and<br> Bob Holt on Got a Little Home to Go to (1998).<br>
