"Frog in the Millpond", also known as "Fare You Well My Susan" is an old-time song or dance tune in 4/4 time and G Major. The parts are played AAB for dancing and AB for singing.
Bayard collected this tune which was used as both a song and dance tune in southwestern Pa. He thinks it sounds as if it may have come from the American minstrel tradition.
It was collected from the singing of James Dains in Greene County, Pa. in the 1930's by Samuel Bayard.
It was printed in Bayard's Dance to the Fiddle (1981).
