"La Grande Chaine" also known as "Antigonish Polka", "The Big Ship", "Bluebell", "Glise à Sherbrooke", "Le Reel De Sherbrooke" and other names. I learned "La Grande Chaine" from Cathy Barton-Para's class on French Canadian square dance tunes at Elderly Instruments' Midwest Banjo Camp 2017. The banjo tab is Cathy's with some amendments. The standard notation is from www.abcnotation.com and is pretty much a fiddle version of Cathy's banjo version. This tune is easy to play and will stick in your head a long time. Aly Bain has recorded this in a number of medleys including one with "Waiting for the Federals".
