"Gunboat", also known as "Hornio", "The Horny Ewe" or "Going Down to Georgie-o"<br> is an American old-time breakdown from Braxton County, W.Va. in A Major.<br> The parts are played ABB'.<br> It is usually played in AEae fiddle tuning.<br> This is thought to be a Civil War-era tune, although there is no proof of this.<br> The banjo tablature is by John Letscher.<br> It was printed in Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes<br> (2021),<br> Krassen's Masters of Old Time Fiddling (1983) and<br> Silberberg's Tunes I Learned at Tractor Tavern (2002).<br> It was recorded by Ernie Carpenter on Elk River Blues: Traditional Tunes From<br> Braxton County, W.Va. and<br> Jim Taylor (et al) on The Civil War Collection, vol.
