"Halifax" is an American reel in cut time and G major. <br> It is known in southwestern Va. The tune and tune name is peculiar to<br> the Franklin/Floyd County area of southwestern Va.<br> It played in either G or A, usually in an open tuning: G,DGd or A,EAe.<br> It is shown here in G and the tablature is for standard fiddle tuning.<br> The banjo tablature is by John Letscher.
