"Hell up Coal Holler", also known as “Hell Up Coal Creek Holler” is an old-time breakdown in C Major. A "hell" is a dense thicket where cattle or other livestock can get lost. A different tune by this name is in eastern Kentucky fiddler Ed Haley’s repertoire. It was printed in Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes (1994). It was recorded by Dan Gellert, Adam Hurt and Gerry Milnes & Lorraine Lee.
