"Hiawatha", also known as "The Rialto Hornpipe" is an American (originally) and
Canadian hornpipe or clog in B Flat Major. The parts are played AABB.
The melody has currency among Cape Breton fiddlers, influenced by the recording
by Winston "Scotty" Fitzgerald. Sean McGuire recorded the tune as "The Rialto"
on his 1971 Outlet 1006 LP.
It was printed in Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940),
Cranford's Jerry Holland's Collection (1995),
Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) and
Phillips' Fiddle Case Tunebook: British Isles (1989).
It was recorded by Jerry Holland on Jerry Holland (1976).
