"Hooker's Hornpipe" is an American hornpipe in 2/4 time and G Major. The parts are played
AABB.
The low part is reminiscent of Clayton McMichen's tune
"Hog Trough Reel".
"Hooker's Hornpipe" is on Missouri fiddler Charlie Walden's
list of "100 essential Missouri fiddle tunes".
It was printed in R.P. Christeson's Old Time Fiddlers' Repertory, vol. 1 (1973),
Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes, vol. 2 (1995),
Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes (2021) (A & B parts reversed).
It was recorded by Taylor McBaine on Boone County Fiddler,
Jim Herd on Old Time Ozark Fiddling,
Howard Marshall & John Williams on Fiddling Missouri (1999).
