"Moses Hoe the Corn", also known as "Hoe Your Corn Moses" or
"Razors in the Air" is an old-time breakdown in D Major.
The parts are played AB (Silberberg) or AA'AA' BB (Phillips). The title comes from the chorus of the minstrel-era song "Razors in the Air". It was printed in Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes, Vol. 1 (1994), Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes (2021) and Silberberg's Tunes I Learned at Tractor Tavern (2002). |
