"Newcastle Lasses" is an English reel in G Major. The parts are played AABB.<br> The melody appears in the 1840 music manuscript collection of Waverton, Cumbria,<br> musician John Rook.<br> This is not the same tune as the "Newcastle" tune in the Dancing Master section or<br> the "Newcastle Bridge" and "The Newcastle Hornpipe" tunes in the Celtic section.<br> It was printed in Northumbrian Pipers Society's Northumbrian Pipers Pocket Green<br> Book (1993).<br>
