"Old Missouri", also known as "Bug Ran Away with the Pillow", "Love Somebody" or
"I Love a Lassie O!" is an American reel in 2/4 time and D Major. The parts are played AABB.
Another American derivative of the Scottish "Miss Farquharson's Reel" or <>"My Love is but
a Lassie Yet", a widespread melody found in many rhythmic and melodic variations for
singing and dancing.
The banjo tablature is by John Letscher. His comments:
From John Lamancusa and Chirps Smith (from Harry Elie).
It was printed in Ruth's Pioneer Western Folk Tunes (1948).
It was recorded by Chirps Smith on Down in Little Egypt (2003).
