"Rabbit in the Grass", also known as "Soapsuds Splash" or "Splish Splash" is an old-time breakdown known in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma in G Major. The parts are played AABB. It is a popular Ozarks fiddle tune that is very similar to "Fort Smith" and is interchangeable to some musicians.
It was printed in R.P. Christeson's Old Time Fiddler’s Repertory, vol. 1 (1973) and Thede's The Fiddle Book (1967).
It was recorded by Calvin van Brunt on Music from the Ozarks (1964) and John White on Nine Miles of Dry and Dusty (2007) (Appears as "Splish Splash").
