"Rush and the Pepper" is an American reel in D major.<br> It was collected by Garry Harrison and company in Illinois from Jesse James Abbott of<br> rural Toledo, Illinois in the mid 1970s. Mr Abbott said he had learned it as a boy in<br> Missouri and he had turned 82 in 1975.<br> This is an example of a single-source fiddle tune that has spread out. The initial<br> recording was by the Indian Delta Creek Boys in the mid 1970s. This has recently been reissued.<br> The banjo tab is by John Letscher.<br> The tune was printed in Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes (2021),<br> It was recorded by the Indian Creek Delta Boys on Indian Creek Delta Boys (1976).<br>
