This "Sweet Richard" is not the traditional country dance. The album notes on A Water Over Stone state that Gordon Bok learned it from Tom Judge and Nick Appolonio, Maine residents who claimed it was "a southern tune". It seems to be a version of the Welsh air, also known as "Sweet Richard". I learned it from the Gordon Bok, Anne Muir & Ed Tricket album A Water Over Stone.
