"Take Off Your Hat to the Ladies", also known as "Stop Tune" is an American show tune in 6/8 time and D Major. There is one part. It was collected by Samuel Bayard from Sarah Armstrong near Derry, Pennsylvania (Westmoreland County). Bayard states that this was possibly a stage tune in which, somewhere in the course of the tune, the performer would stop and take off his hat. It was printed in Bayard's Hill Country Tunes (1944).
