"Up Jumped Joe in the Middle of It", also known as "The Hog Rocks" is an American reel
known in southwestern Pa. in A Major. The parts are played AABB.
The 'B' parts of this tune and "Hog Rock" seemed to Bayard (1981) as though they were derived
from a common ancestor.
Bayard collected this tune from Irvin Yaugher in Fayette County, Pa. in 1946.
It was printed in Bayard's Dance to the Fiddle (1981).
It was recorded by Tamsula, Withers and Krysty on Up Jumped Joe in the Middle of It
(2013).
