"Waynesboro", also known as "Waynesborough", "The Green Meadow", "Over the Moor to Maggie"<br> and "The Willow Tree" is an American reel in cut time and G Major. The parts are played<br> AB (Silberberg), ABB (Titon) or AABB (Phillips, Songer).<br> It was in the repertoire of West Virginia fiddler Edden Hammons.<br> It is similar to "Merriweather" and the two play well together in a medley.<br> The banjo tab is by John Letscher who says it is a<br> composite gathered from Matt Brown, Chance McCoy and others.<br> It was printed in Phillips' Traditional American Fiddle Tunes, vol. 1 (1994),<br> Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes (2021),<br> Silberberg's Tunes I Learned at Tractor Tavern (2002),<br> Songer's Portland Collection (1997) and<br> Titon's Old Time Kentucky Fiddle Tunes (2001).<br> It was recorded by Bartow Riley on Texas Hoedown (1965),<br> Doc Roberts on a 78 RPM (1927) and on Fiddlin’ Doc Roberts (c. 1975),<br> Dave Spilkia on Visits (1981),<br> Rodney Miller on Airplang (1985),<br> Mike Seeger on Fresh Oldtime String Band Music (1988)<br> Alan Jabbour and Ken Perlman on Southern Summits (2005) and<br> Edden Hammons on Edden Hammons Collection I (1947).<br>
