"Frogs' Frolic" is a Scottish and American jig in E Minor. The parts are played AAB.<br> It is probably derived from Niel Gow's "Dunkeld House", probably composed in the 1770's.<br> The A parts, in particular, are very similar. The B part is only 14 measures long.<br> The title "Frogs' Frolic" sounds like something that you would find in The Dancing Master but<br> it is not that old.<br> It was printed in Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1941) and Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883).<br>
