This was the original tune for the<br> Sean Trews/Triubhas, an ancient Highland dance in which the dancers wear tartan trousers<br> rather than the sporran and kilt. <br> It was printed in Hardie's Caledonian Companion (1992), Skinner's Harp and Claymore (1904) and<br> Skinner's The Scottish Violinist.<br> It was recorded by Abby Newton on Crossing to Scotland (1997) and Maggie Sansone with<br> Ensemble Galilei on Music in the Great Hall (1992).<br>
