A popular and old English/Scottish country jig melody.<br> There is a Shetland reel known as "Da New Rigged Ship".<br> “New Rigged Ship” has been more popular in the United States in n both 6/8 and <br> reel-time setting of the melody, called "Green Willis" or "The Raw Recruit". <br> It has been printed in Gow (Strathspey Reels), 1784, Gow, A Second<br> Collection of Strathspey Reels, 2nd edition, 1803 and <br> Karpeles & Schofield (A Selection of 100 English Folk Dance Airs), 1951.<br> It has been recorded by Altan, Aly Bain, Dave Swarbrick and others.<br> I learned this one from print, I think from 1000 Fiddle Tunes.<br>
